Paik Nam-jong, chair of the Korean Telemedicine Society (KTS), announced the founding of the ATS at the society’s Fall Academic Conference, held at Seoul National University College of Medicine on Friday.

“The launch of this society will be a milestone in enhancing cooperation in the field of telemedicine across Asia,” Paik said.

Referring to the conference theme, “Designing the Future of Telemedicine,” Paik emphasized, “We are now standing at a critical turning point in healthcare. Telemedicine is no longer a distant vision but a practical and essential part of our healthcare system.”

He continued, “Telemedicine will not only enhance the sustainability of healthcare services but also break down geographical and physical barriers, paving the way for more efficient access to personalized treatment. Let us take on this challenge together, overcome difficulties, and build the path for future healthcare.”
